Why You Need A Facebook Pixel On Your Website

As social media is rapidly growing, so is the number of businesses advertising on different social media platforms. Most companies, smaller and larger, have added or are in the process of adding social media strategy to part their marketing plan.

When it comes to Facebook marketing, Facebook gives advertisers different tools to help them run successful campaigns. From "audience insights" to the "Facebook pixel,” if we use these tools properly we are able to learn a lot about our target market as well as serve the right people our ads.

If your company has website, it is very important for you to use the Facebook pixel and add its benefits to your marketing strategy. The Facebook pixel is a piece of code that you put on your website that allows you to track visits to your website pages and to create an audience of the people who have visited your website, or even better, specific pages on your website.

With that data, you can build different ad campaigns within Facebook and advertise to people who have visited your website, people who added something to the cart and did not check out, or people who landed on your contact page but never filled their information out.

Do you see how powerful this can be? Without a Facebook pixel, you are missing out on a huge opportunity to retarget your existing website traffic with ads encouraging them or reminding them to purchase your product or book your service.

Several sales related studies show that it takes more than one exposure to make a sale to someone. That’s what makes these remarketing campaigns huge. If someone doesn’t buy from you the first time, but then you show up in their Facebook newsfeed reminding them of your brand or business, chances are, some of the people who see your ad will convert into paying customers.

Does your business have a Facebook pixel installed on your website? If not, I would look into installing it ASAP so you can start collecting the data and take advantage of retargeting ads.
